Yoga Groove is a place where Yoga meets chill and body and spirit unite. A rhythmic, melodic experience with SOULFOOD’s DJ Free and master percussionist Brent Lewis who come together to create the follow-up to their best selling CD Yoga Rhythm. Eastern influences, ambient grooves and downtempo beats are fused with tribal percussion, indigenous flutes, sitar, mantras and atmospheric soundscapes. SOULFOOD worked with renowned Yoga and movement instructors, including CJ Page, Present Moment Retreat, in creating the music.

SOULFOOD worked with intention and mindfulness in creating Yoga Groove. To create the musical magic, Soulfood's DJ Free again united with master percussionist Brent Lewis at his Joshua Tree studio to record the numerous shakers, drums and percussive instruments. The story continued when DJ Free traveled to Esalen® Institute to work with another master percussionist Jayson Fann, who has studied with Baba Olatunji for over 20 years. After recording African, Eastern, Indian and Latin percussion, DJ Free worked side by side with Yoga instructors to mix and arrange the tracks at Present Moment Retreat in Troncones Beach, Mexico. The tranquil setting, ocean and numerous Yoga, dance and movement classes provided inspiration and invaluable guidance in the formation of this release.
